WHAT IS THE IPSC?
IPSC is a dynamic, challenging shooting sport that encompasses all four firearms disciplines: handgun, pellet rifle, shotgun and airsoft.
The IPSC motto is derived from the Latin words Diligentia,Vis,Celeritas (DVC), meaning accuracy, strength and speed, which are all equally important in the sport. At the same time, the sport places special emphasis on safe gun handling and strict adherence to the rules of the sport.
What makes it special?
Its main attraction lies in the variety of shooting ranges. The different ranges feature a variety of stationary, moving and penalty targets, which constantly challenge shooters to complete their shooting tasks in the way they deem best.
A little history:
In the 1950s, a new type of shooting sport began to take shape in the USA, which was different in almost every way from the Olympic marksmanship.
As the sport gained more and more interest, participants sought a more structured competitive environment. As a result, the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) was founded in the USA in May 1976. The organization’s first president was the legendary Colonel Jeff Cooper.
